Joy Katzen-Guthrie - "Pivot Song"
Life is a continuous process of choosing to be happy. Shifting from sadness to happiness is something we do step by step. This song describes the way in which we immediately feel better when we consciously shift — or pivot — our perspective one step at a time, and writing it was for me a way of pivoting my own outlook from grief to joy.

The Story of the Light-Filled Couple in Need
Scott and Sara’s Story

In 2007, Scott Myrom was riding home on his bicycle in Tucson and was struck by a car. Due to his serious injuries, he was transferred to a hospital in Phoenix and was in a coma for weeks..
He came out of his coma, but his care at rehab actually made his condition worse and he returned home unable to walk or perform any of the simplest functions. He needed to be fed, changed, bathed and monitored 24/7. Scott became a functional quadriplegic who was not expected to walk, yet he is working hard to prove them wrong.
His wife Sara Mattoon, along with some caregivers, began to slowly create optimal care for Scott at home and he began to improve. Always, his incredible inner light and spirit assisted his healing and blessed those around him.
Unfortunately, with the medical expenses and caregiver assistance costs, Sara’s and Scott’s funds are depleted and at this point in time, they are in great need of some short-term financial assistance. They expect to have some income again in the not too distant future, but for the time being, they would be grateful to receive all funds coming from this Musical Toolkit project.
Through the ordeals of the accident, medical care, home care, surgeries and recoveries, Scott has remained grateful, full of humor and peace, and such a teacher for us all. His wife Sara’s unbending devotion and surrender to this challenging life adventure are also inspiration to all. Bringing some financial energy through this fun-raiser for this deserving pair of light-bearers is a gift that will bring light to us all.
Please note that your donation will go directly to Scott and Sara through a safe and secure payment processor. No personal information will be collected or shared with any third parties.
